During the week, planned engineering work between Herne Hill and Sutton will close some lines, affecting travel to and from the Sutton area.

Some late night services running between Sevenoaks to London Blackfriars will instead be diverted to London Victoria, due to planned engineering works taking place at Elephant and Castle.

Over the weekend, engineering works taking place between Nunhead and Ravensbourne and Brixton and Shortlands will close lines running via Denmark Hill.

Thameslink services running between Haywards Heath and Brighton will not run as a result of planned engineering works.

Some early morning services between Gillingham and Gravesend will also not run due to planned works.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Monday, September 25 – Friday, September 29

From Monday until Friday, overnight services to and from Sutton will be affected, due to planned engineering works between Herne Hill and Sutton closing some lines.

Between 11:45pm and 4:40am every night no Thameslink trains will run between Herne Hill and Sutton.

Customers are instead advised to travel between these stops on Southern services or by using London Buses.

Services between Bedford and Three Bridges or Brighton will also be affected, with trains diverted to run non-stop via London Bridge.

Between Monday and Thursday, planned engineering work between Elephant and Castle and Blackfriars will close some lines, affecting late night services.

Between these days the 11:22pm Sevenoaks to London Blackfriars service will be diverted to run to London Victoria, and will not call at Elephant & Castle or London Blackfriars.

Customers are advised to use London Buses or the London Underground to complete their journeys if travelling to these stations.

Saturday, September 30 – Sunday, October 1

On Saturday and Sunday, engineering works between Nunhead and Ravensbourne on Saturday, and Brixton and Shortlands on Sunday, will close lines running via Denmark Hill.

All weekend, trains running to and from Sevenoaks will be diverted and will not call at stations via Catford.

Instead, trains will additionally call at Herne Hill and Beckenham Junction over the weekend.

A rail replacement bus service will run between Herne Hill and Bromley South via Catford, not calling at either Nunhead or Ravensbourne.

Customers are instead advised to use the P12 bus route to travel to Nunhead or the 354 to travel to Ravensbourne at no additional cost.

On Sunday, engineering works between Lewes and Preston Park and Brighton will close some lines.

No Thameslink services will run between Haywards Heath, affecting services via London Bridge and East Croydon.

Instead, Thameslink customers are advised to use Southern services between Haywards Heath and Brighton, which will be diverted via Hove.

An early morning and late night rail replacement bus service will run when no alternative Southern services are running over the weekend.

On Sunday, engineering works between London and Gillingham will affect early morning trains between Gravesend and Gillingham, closing some lines.

A rail replacement bus service will run until 7:15am replacing trains running between Gravesend and Gillingham.
